DAVID J. ESTES has been practicing law in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metropolitan area – with an emphasis on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and guardianship and conservatorship matters – since 1981. Long recognized as an expert in these practice areas, he has been a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel since his election in 1992 (at the age of 35). David has been an author and lecturer for the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association (including State Bar courses on Lawyer Professionalism and Certified Fiduciary Training); he has been an editor of the Arizona Probate Code Practice Manual; he is a former Chair of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona; and he has been a Commissioner and Judge Pro Tem in the probate court of the Maricopa County Superior Court. David received his law degree in 1981 from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Accounting) in 1977 from the University of Arizona, where he graduated with the Highest Distinction.
